sT mARY’S CHURCH

The Facility Master Plan for St Mary’s Hall will expand on the potential for the facility to meet current community needs through increased safety, comfort and functionality for a wide range of groups and events.

Overview

AOG Architects have been engaged to develop a Facility Master Plan to meet the key objectives of the Building Stronger Communities Grant application for St Mary’s Anglican Church dated September 2019.

The intent is to increase the commercial viability of the Church precinct. Future plans will provide an all-inclusive space for local venue hire, family functions, private meetings, wedding receptions, concerts, performances, education, training opportunities and much more. These potential revenue streams will help contribute to the Church’s survival into the future.

St Mary’s Church has cultural and heritage sensitivities that are an integral part of the project success – particularly in regards to the prominence of the selected site on the Kangaroo Point Peninsula, the significance of the its heritage and central idea of restoration.
